May Market Runners Forum Update

Want to sell at a market? This might be the perfect year. There are new markets joining us this year, including family-focused markets and even a few holiday markets!

A new series of markets and events this season are the Wonderstruck Children’s Festivals. These events are aimed at children and families and are actively seeking artists and craftspeople who make work aimed at families. We are excited to see this as our area has not had markets aimed at this segment. Wonderstruck was created by Paper And Stars Studio.

Our market runners are reporting that markets are BUSY and sales are BRISK! If you are an artist looking to sell in-person at a market this summer, read on for application dates and links. Markets are all reporting that visitors do wear masks and seem to be respecting social distance, and many markets are taking steps to ensure lower density of booths and tents in their outdoor settings.

Our Market Runners Forum monthly meeting for May is Tuesday, May 18th. If you run an art or craft market in the Triangle, you are invited to join us, learn more here. We’ll be discussing best practices for creating vendor applications.
