Have you ever wondered how the constant flow of the latest fashion apparel, greeting card designs, housewares, handbags, kitchenware, calendars, planners, coffee mugs and the many thousands of other consumer products look the way they do? If you have ever looked at a mug or bedsheet or gift bag and thought “MY art would look great on that!” then this class is for you.
This class will help you begin to see consumer products in a whole new way. You will hear about the art licensing industry and the layers of consultants, art directors and product developers who collaborate with artists to put their artwork on consumer products. You will hear how you can get your artwork in front of this type of buyer.
Discussions will include valuable tips and information for submitting your designs for licensing consideration, the things that ‘always’ sell, and what royalties and contracts look like. There will be time for Q&A with Willie throughout the class.
