About the Instructor:
E. Stuart Powell, Jr., MA, has been involved in the insurance business for over 50 years. During his career, Stuart has served as an expert witness on matters of insurance coverage and insurance agents standard of care. He has frequently taught insurance courses, in state and nationally and authored numerous articles on insurance. Stuart serves on the National Faculty for the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) and has taught in various CIC Institutes and graduate seminars. Since 2017, Stuart has enjoyed a semi-retired life of insurance and risk management consulting and engaging in his hobbies of sailing, fishing, and the study of classical language. Currently, Stuart also serves on the Board of Visitors for Catawba College.
