That is what Triangle artist and Meredith College arts professor, Lisa Pearce, told us at last year’s SMASH! about the impact of the work of Triangle ArtWorks. Lisa not only benefits from the learning provided by our ArtSwell business training, but she trusts that, like family, we will always be here to support her work and connect her to a community of others in the arts. 

As an arts professor, Lisa also knows how important a supportive community is to emerging artists. When she brings Meredith students to our annual SMASH! event, “They were so scared to come, but after they left they did feel like superheroes, because they had a community that they knew was there waiting for them - that just gave them so much encouragement”
