Disaster Support Services For Artists
The following letter was sent out by Jeff Bell, Executive Director of North Carolina Arts Council, detailing disaster relief services for artists in the state of North Carolina. To amplify the information contained within the letter, we are reprinting it in it’s entirety. Dear arts community,
Like many of you, I am heartbroken by the devastation in Western North Carolina. Residents of the impacted communities are our friends, family, colleagues, and cherished members of our statewide arts community. Those affected by the hurricane are in our thoughts and we are working quickly to develop strategies for support. To do this, our staff are coordinating with national, regional, and statewide partners. We are also checking in with our constituents in the western part of the state to offer our support and to better understand the needs of the field, both in the short- and long-term.
