Two area artists are adding their voices to the exciting podcasting world with Art Studio Insights, a podcast that aims to demystify the creative process and engage in dialog about the business practices and skills artists need. Helmed by Adriana Ameigh and Jackie Sanders, these video and audio podcasts are lively, chatty and informative. With topics ranging (so far) from Creative Warm Ups to Technology in Art, this podcast goes behind the studio doors to explore topics interesting to all working artists. The artists have plans to expand to include interviews with artists and art administrators about all aspects of art business.

Both Ameigh and Saunders are transplants to the Triangle. Adriana was born in Puerto Rico and Jackie in Maryland, but they make art and have studios in Raleigh’s Artspace. Down the hall from one another, they used their pandemic time to create a new way to reach outside their studio doors and expand the conversations they were already having. Art Studio Insights is available for listening on Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, and as videos on YouTube

The Triangle is home to many popular art podcasts, from Lauren Van Hemert’s Beltline to Broadway to the art historical pod ArtCurious from an NCMA curator, to the eclectic storytelling and art discussions of Artist’s Soapbox. Feeling inspired? If you are curious about what it takes to create a podcast, check out our YouTube video from Lauren Van Hemert, Getting Started In Podcasting For Visual And Performing Artists. Adriana highly recommends Lauren’s video!

Check out Art Studio Insights on Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, and as videos on YouTube.
