Invitational Teaching Artists Focus Group
June, 2021
United Arts and Triangle ArtWorks
We want your input
United Arts and Triangle Art Works are partnering to investigate how we might potentially serve teaching artists in our area. We’d like you to join our invitational focus group to share your experience and needs. We want to get your input on what you know you need to strengthen your career as a teaching artist. This group will take place on Wednesday, June 16th from 10-11:30 am, and participants will be compensated.
Event Details
The Focus Group meeting will be 1.5 hours in length and conducted online.
Participants have been selected from current Artists in Schools artists. Each participant was chosen to represent a cross section of our artists. We identified potential panel members based on age, race, gender, artistic discipline, and length of time as a teaching artist.
Event Facilitation
Cynthia Deis, Triangle ArtWorks ArtSwell Education Director, will facilitate this online focus group session. United Arts staff will not be present.
United Arts will provide a $100 stipend to participating artists after successful completion of the meeting.
What can you bring to the conversation?
We ask all participants to candidly share your specific needs as they relate to your career as a teaching artist. You will be invited to answer poll questions and engage during group discussions.
Please set aside the full event time to participate in the group.
This event will be held on Zoom
While it’s been a long pandemic and many of us have had our fill of zoom, we want to share an info sheet from Artists Thrive that we think is always a great resource.
