Demystifying Art Capture and Printing

  • The Frontier RTP 800 Park Offices Drive Durham, NC, 27703 United States (map)

Are you an artist who wants to provide art prints but don’t know where to start?

Or maybe you are unsure if you want to offer prints but you’d like to capture digital images of your work?

Join photographer Kevin Seifert of RTP.Studio and art printer Becka Fortune of Audacious Printing as they guide you through mastering the art of capturing digital images of your artwork and unraveling the finer points of art printing.

Many artists struggle with where to start to make print runs. Whether you print your own work or collaborate with a printer, the first step is achieving a high-quality digital capture. Lighting, color, texture, and image resolution all play a role in getting the right image to start.

This workshop will show you, through the use of live demonstrations, some essential techniques for capturing artwork to prepare for print runs. Gain confidence and tools to address art capture, color correction, and in making informed print choices, and more.

At the conclusion of this workshop, you will possess the basic knowledge needed to effectively capture your artwork and talk confidently about print choices, including choosing print media. This workshop includes a live art capture demonstration, print presentation, and discussion.

This workshop is designed for 2D artists but is also beneficial for 3D artists seeking to enhance their understanding of art capture processes.
