Art Market and Show Applications: Tips and Tricks

Join us for a panel discussion to learn what market runners and juries are looking for in show applications.

The holiday and fall show season will be bigger than ever this year with a return to in-person events. Now is the time to get your application skills tuned up.

Show applications can be a difficult part of selling your work, and you don’t always know why you aren’t getting into the shows when you apply. This panel discussion is designed to help you have a better application this year. From photography to social media presence, all the factors that go into getting into the right shows for your work will be discussed. The panel includes local market runners from our Market Runners Forum and show jurists with over 30 years of experience on selection committees. Bring your questions and learn how you can get into more and better shows. Hosted by podcasters Jackie Sanders and Adriana Ameigh, of the podcast Art Studio Insights, this event will be taped for a later episode.

This free discussion is for you if you are an artist who wants to make sure you are putting your best foot forward in show and event applications. Whether you are new to doing shows or have been exhibiting for a while, you’ll have a chance to ask panelists questions and hear about how you can improve your show applications.

This panel was created by members of the Market Runners Forum, a group of art and craft market runners based in the Triangle. Learn more about the Forum here.
